Discover These Activities for 24+ Month Old Children

Movement Activities

  • Toss a large, lightweight ball, like a beach ball, up a gentle grassy slope. When it rolls back towards you, show your toddler how to catch it. Then it’s their turn.
  • Place a beanbag on your child's back while they are in a crawling position, then have them crawl around the room until the beanbag falls off. Their goal is to keep it on their back as long as possible.
  • You can help your toddler build on their movement skills—and their social skills—by joining a playgroup, taking them to the park or having a little friend over to play. At this age, toddlers are unlikely to play “with” each other, but they enjoy the company and can learn from one another.
