Parenting, especially mothering is hard and constant work.

In this journey, it is easy to stop caring for yourself or to get overwhelmed.

But you must remember when you stop caring for yourself, your ability to care for your child is affected, and your ability to enjoy motherhood is affected too.

Take Care of Yourself

Many women work hard to take care of themselves during pregnancy but stop once they hear that first baby cry. You must continue to take care of yourself.

Grab some me-time

  • Take rest whenever you get time

  • Eat a healthy diet

  • Have exercise routine

  • Spend time with friends

  • Ask for help when you know that you are not coping well

  • “Me time” can help you to be more equipped to be the best mother

  • It isn't selfish to take time to exercise or to get adequate sleep each night

Remember, Your Children Are Watching You…And Want to Be Like You!

By being a "good mom" and not caring for yourself, actually makes you fall short of your goal. Remember that children are watching you and they want to be like you. If you don't take care of yourself, they will learn the same from you. Therefore, to bring up healthy and happy children, you must take care of yourself.
